Trafquip are looking for a Diesel Mechanic to join our growing team. Ideally looking for a qualified mechanic, however, we are also open to a second- or third-year apprentice.

You work alongside our existing Diesel Mechanic and will be responsible for repairing and maintaining internal equipment and assisting with on-hire and off procedures.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Diagnose & repair mechanical faults across variety of traffic equipment on site, and/or organise the return or replacement of the equipment
• Diagnose & repair mechanical faults across a variety of motor vehicles
• Ensure stock levels of spare parts are available to undertake any repair on site
• Respond promptly to customer enquiries regarding breakdowns. Keep them informed of any requirements, time frames and options they have
• Complete paperwork regarding service and repairs
• Fault finding and diagnostics across a variety of traffic equipment. TMAs, Traffic control utes, Message Boards, Portable Traffic Lights
• After hours callouts
• Assisting with the supervision of a mechanical apprentice

Qualifications & experience

• Current drivers licence
• Hire experience/knowledge of Traffic Equipment
• Diesel experience with cars and Trucks
• Experience with UD and Hino vehicles is advantageous
• Forklift license
• HR licence

What we offer

This position offers a very competitive salary of $70,000 – $80,000 per year, potential company vehicle. Licensing if required will be arranged by Trafquip.
